I’ve just used ‘Check email’ to prove that my website is sending emails ok. However, when a client places an order, I get the email from paypal to say they’ve ordered … but in the website back end, the order stays stuck on ‘pending payment’ and I don’t get the ‘new order’ email. The only fix is to manually change status of the order. Why isn’t the new order email going automatically?

Out of box, this email is sent to Admin, not the customer!

Not immediately Mark. We’re focused on broader WooCommerce priorities, such as redesigning the default WooCommerce emails and sending transactional emails via our own sending service.
