This is definitely something I need to improve. Does MailPoet manage drip campaigns too? Thanks

Hi Emmy

Personally I think it’s annoying to receive the unsubscribe email since I already know I unsubscribed! However, if you forwarded an email to someone and they clicked on the unsubscribe link they would unsubscribe you and you wouldn’t know. The chances of that happening as so small (and we have an undo option on our unsubscribe page).

I would recommend that you customise the unsubscribe page and you can add you own poll to it. I often fill them in when asked, but they should only be one question. I’d be more likely to see and respond to this than an email that tells me I’m now unsubscribed.

Hope that helps!

this is another very usefull article, thank you.

I have a question about a feature that I would like not on subscription, but on unsubscription: the possibility to send an email after someone has unsubscribed to confirm that he or she has unsubscribed.
This may be used to remind them that (in my case) we have other newsletters to subscribe to (in another frequency), or perhaps ask why they have unsubscribed. I now use a special page for this, but I don’t think they will really read this.

Are you considering such a feature, or do you think the customer will get irritated when receiving such an email after unsubcribe?

Or do you have other suggestions how to find out the reason why people unsubscribe?

An ask:
how can I retrieve or add the “Name” of the user who is registered (the recipient of the email)?
So as to customize the newsletter.
I’m a rookie. tnx
