Hi Sascha,

We haven’t started tracking or recording any additional user data following this update – this has always been recorded in your database, but it’s only now that we’re giving our users the option to view it.

If you’d like to turn off tracking, you can do this in MailPoet > Settings > Advanced. However, please bear in mind that doing this turns off tracking completely, so you will no longer be able to see your campaigns’ overall open and click through rates.

Hope that clarifies things,

Laura

I agree with Peter. It is paramount that this feature can be deactivated. Having a per person statistic needs consent by the user per gdpr imho. This would make the whole list of members that have not be informed about those personal data collections useless.

Hi Peter,

I’m afraid it’s not currently possible to disable this functionality. However, if this is something you’d like to see added to MailPoet, we encourage you to share this on our feedback board: https://feedback.mailpoet.com. We review the feedback shared on here on a regular basis, and use it to determine which features or improvements should be implemented next.

Thanks!

Laura

Is it also possible to only see what links in the newsletter are clicked on the most, without the personal insights? I really like the first row of information, but because we highly value privacy, we don’t want to be able to connect that information to individual persons.

Kind regards,

Peter
